I've never distilled an alcoholic beverage, but I do home brew my own beer. Making an Irish style whisky seems like the logical first step, since they're made from malted barley, just like beer.
Anyone tried this? Know a good source for recipes??? I can make the wort (just like for beer, but without hops) and ferment it...and distill it (did distillations in my Organic Chemistry class), but I don't know how much grain vs. water to use etc, for whisky....
