So we are looking over some nice cooper Alembic stills... we do not want to spend TOOO much money either... maybe 300$ tops...
So far Ive found a few good sources...
www.copper-alembic.com/shop/index.php
but we really liek these folks... seeing how we are int he USA...
www.hogacompany.com/distille...list.html
We are beginners and have yet to distill anything yet.
SO looking for something that is good for the beginner is important to us as well...
but we want it to be quality and something we can learn and grow with.

oh and this ones just for fun... old peruvian stills... for pisco...
www.compra-segura.com/product_info.php

We were also looking at the easy still... but that seems like its well too easy...

So my question is what would yall go for? what is your advice on what to be getting. we would like a copper still honestly.
Our hope is to eventually learn enough to make it a proffesion. washington just lifted it ban on commercial small batch distilling since the prohibition. so this is somthing we would like to very seriously persue...
any ideas?

Dead link. Read the material I referenced. It'll also guide you in purchasing.
There really is some stuff you need to know before making a purchase.
It's easy to waste money on the wrong thing or garbage.

I will but I would also love to hear some of your pointers on which ones you think are worth buying if one was not to build ones own...

Not any of those you have linked to. Not one. If you are going to drink what comes out You need a reflux still. Any thing else will force you to toss the first part of every run and reprocess the rest over and over losing as much as 3/4 of your product or more.

Best pointer I can offer is: read up.

            There's a lot to know.

I understand... that has been concern of mine as well... having to throw out the first part of each run and having to destill over and over again... for some reason my faince seems to think that this is part of the artisenship of using the old fashioned kinds.
my arguement is that with a reflux still you can still get the same quality with just none of the hassle.

but shes a stubborn irish norwegian lady... its hard to change her mind when shes wrong...
I did post some of the reflux stills on those links i sent you...
              the steel ones...
              any of these worth while?
